Wibbly Wobby... Timey Wimey...

Is every one still alive and well out there? I got a friendly reminder from my friends today that I used to blog and after scrolling through some old posts, I got very nostalgic. Blogging was such a great way to document the events in my life. It's been a few years, some things have changed and some things have stayed the same. Let's go through a run through:

One of the biggest changes in my life is my best friend and partner in crime, Donna, moving to Boston. I'm so proud of her big move and incredibly jealous. I like to think of her move as a blessing in disguise; it's just an excuse for me to visit Boston all the time. Last winter, we went to the Pats vs Cleveland game and had the most epic time. The Pats came back in a last minute win and it was insane. We had epic stories on the train ride and even managed to get photobombed by a little kid. I miss this girl every day. It's hard not having  your other half to paint the town red with. But she's doing big things in Beantown and as always, there's a couch with my name on it.

Diana, a fellow crack pack member, got engaged! She's getting married Nov of this year and I can't even wrap my head around it. She'll be one of my first close friends to get married and she's taking it all this stress with such grace. We all can't wait to attend her beautiful wedding. I'll be the one up there with the other two girls being a crying blubbering mess. If we were sobbing at the dress fitting, I can't even imagine how we are going to react when we're standing next to her as she marries the love of her life. I need to stop before I start crying.

My best friend(s) got engaged! This is a very exiting time in our lives. They've been together forever and we have been through our ups and downs, but I couldn't be happier for one of my favorite couples. I'm so honored to be standing next to my friend as her maid of honor on her wedding day on October 11, 2015 and I just couldn't be any happier for these two.

These last few years had led me to several adventures. This is a gorgeous picture of a sunset at Gibson Island. Adventuring to G.I. has reminded me to stop every once and a while and breathe. Learn to admire the beauty around you and you deserve to relax. Life in the DMV is always "go, go, go!" But I forget to stop and smell the roses. I didn't even know places like this existed in Maryland, but I'm definitely  learning to find more time to explore.

In 2014, I dipped my toe into the dating world. Now for the record, I had been happily single for about 2 years before my first date. I decided that my friends were right, "What are you going to do be single for the rest of your life?" Plus, if anything at least I'll make some new friends! Dating as an adult is strange. I've always been in the situation where you're friends first and things kind of roll into a relationship because that's how the chips fall.
First dates can be slightly awkward until you find common ground to talk about and then you just spend hours talking about that. I've been on great dates and I've been on pretty awful ones. Luckily, I've been on more good then bad, but I'm not trying to jinx myself. As a self proclaimed foodie, I always just default to food. Everyone has to eat, right? Dating has taught me a lot though. Occasionally, no matter how much you want it, things don't really work out. Other times, what can't be a romantic relationship can turn into a pretty kick-ass friendship. And every once and a while, things just work. My biggest reminder is: Don't take it too seriously. I never present myself as someone I am not, because what is the point of that? Why build a fake foundation?
I've done my fair share of embarrassing things on dates. I forget these guys don't know me at all and don't know that I make sound effects to narrate my stories, make weird hand gestures because I get so into my stories, or make strange facial expressions. They either find it totally endearing or I catch them so off guard they don't have enough time to think. I'm just a very animated, sarcastic, and sassy.

This blog wouldn't be complete without some talk about beauty. These last several years have brought on a lot of hair changes for me. I've dabbled into the ombre trend and have been obsessed. Originally, I did a bright blonde ombre. I was obsessed with it, but wasn't really ready to care for blonde hair. After a few months of growing it out, I chopped it all off and waited patiently for my natural hair to grow out. If there's one thing to know about me: I am NOT patient. I ended up getting extensions because I craved long hair again. My extensions lasted a full 2 weeks before I was pulling them out strand by strand. My hair finally grew long enough and the first thing I did was get a brown ombre dyed in. I have to say I am absolutely in love with it. The brown is obviously much more of a natural color against my complexion and as it's grown out I've just been craving to go full brunette. I know the ombre trend is dying out, but theres something simple about the transition of color on hair that I love. Not to mention I've taken great care of my ombre this time around after learning my lesson after my blonde.

That's all there is to share for now. We will see where this blog will take me. I'd love to share all my new finds from food to beauty. Or even just a recollection of my adventures as a twenty-something living in the DMV.

C-Tang.

Ch-Ch-Changes

The last time I posted was about 2 years ago. Some things have changed and some things have remained the same. Still an avid make up enthusiast (or hoarder) and incredibly active foodie. Time to do some cleaning up and reactivate this blog.

What do you say?

"The One Thing I Hate About Fake Eyelashes is... that They're Not Real..."

So Becks showed me this video the other day:

I DIED of laughter and proceeded to watch most of her other videos....

Here are my favorites!:

...this one is the BEST one... AHAHAHAHAHAHA. I've watched it 5 times and I'm still laughing...

She talks about Harry Potter... enough said!

I am shocked she hasn't gone completely viral since she's been featured on Perez Hilton's fashion blog, Coco Perez... woman is HILARIOUS! The fact that she incorporates make up in her parodies just kills me.

Enjoy :D

"Fave 5" DollyMix Tag + Shop N' Chomp's Give Away

I was surfin' my Google reader and read Dollymix184 aka Holly's new post and she decided to start her own tag. I love reading her blog and seeing her new finds and she's effin gorgeous!

It's basically your 5 tag... haha kinda like your Fave 5!
Rules: "You know when your in a relationship and you have the conversation about which celebrities you'd have on your 'list' of people/celebrities you are 'allowed' to cheat on. Well ladies and/or gents, i'd like to know your 5 people you'd have on your List!!!"

Here's my 5... in no particular order ;):

1. Rob Pattinson
Yes, I am one of those girls. You've seen him time and time again on my blog and he was amazing as Cedric and wonderful as Edward. I don't care if he smells... if he doesn't bathe... the man is ruggid and had a wonderful bone structure and amazing eyes. He seems adorable in interviews and laughs at his own jokes. He's a musician. He's simply... a living version of Edward Cullen hahaha! Ok, more like a living look a like to James Dean.

2. Patrick Dempsey
He won my heart in "Can't Buy Me Love" as the dorky high school kid that mowed people's lawns... we would have thought that the scrawny kid would become McDreamy?! (Btw, "My Love Don't Cost a Thing" with Nick Cannon and Christina Milian was a bad remake...) He is utterly handsome. He reminds me of a classic definition of handsome. His dark hair... his blue eyes... his scruff... and his role as a doctor on Grey's doesn't hurt either... what can I say? I'm a sucker for a guy in a white lab coat... it's the inner geek in me... Plus, what other man rocks Versace like P.D. does?!

3. James Dean
Yup. THE James Dean. The teen icon of the 50s. Yeah, he died young. The fame and his youth was his demise, but it doesn't change the impact he had on pop culture. I can't really explain my facination with James Dean... I guess it's also his story that goes along with it...
"Dream as if you'll live forever. Live as if you'll die today." Looks wise... James Franco is one of the closest living looking a likes to J.D.

4. Zac Efron
He may be the object of affection/obsession in every tween's heart... but he just so happens to be mine too! I love it when his hair is slicked back and styled like that... if you haven't been able to tell the 50s is my favorite era. He sings, he dances... I remember when his two front teeth had a gap in the show Summerland (which I was obsessed with for like a season cause JMac was in it). He won my heart over as Link from Hairspray... and since then it was OVER and I've been obsessed. He has grown into a FINE young man... I don't care what people say... man is freakin' hot, right down to his abs.

5. Tom Brady
No, I did not join the Pats bandwagon because of Tom Brady... I was a fan of the Pats before I even knew who Tom Brady was... but having him as QB on the team sure does not hurt. The man is good... you can't deny it. He's good looking and he's a good football player... let's just over look the fact that he's got a baby mama and is married to one of the prettiest women...ever. The man's got the All-American rugged look going... MMmmMmm... now that he's back and better then ever(I sure hope) the Pats better be AWESOME this year. None of that Matt Cassel nonsense. Boy better win me some big points with Randy Moss this year for my Fantasy Football... sorry my inner geek is starting to emerge.

I tag anyone that's interested in doing it :D

What a Shitacious Amazing Party + Getting To Know Each Other

Hola, blogga chicas! Que paso?! I've been neglecting blogger way too much as of late but life has thrown a few curve balls my way X P but I am back and in action! I have a few new buys to share with y'all and a few tags to do! So as I jam and write this I hope you enjoy it:D

It was my birthday on Monday so I wanted to share some things that I got :D

PhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucket
I don't know if anyone remembers this from my previous post but I once saw a box of GIANT Pocky at HMart and my friend Tony happen to get it for me for my birthday. These things are SO freaking good and addicting. I had forgotten how good Pocky was and the fact that they're giant helps. Each box comes with 22 Giant pocky and they are invidutally wrapped. I set it on my notebook to show a size comparison.

Photobucket
Amanda got me an awesome Panda double shot glass from the National Zoo! It's so freaking cute!! It's just asking for trouble since it's a double but it's just in time for going back to school. She recently started a blog so pay my BFF a visit! She's leaving me for England in the start of September to study aborad and I already asked for Berry M products haha

Photobucket
This is the necklace that Dan got me. I found it a few months ago on Esty and thought it was adorable cause I'm a Leo and it's a lion. It's my Mark Poulin. Check him out! He's got man other types of animals and necklaces and rings. I believe his Etsy store is called MarMar. The necklace came in this ADORABLE little box and with a little book of all Mark's characters. I wasn't a big fan of the wire necklace but that can always be changed :)

Photobucket.
I decided to give Fluidline another try. I epically FAILED at applying this gel liner a few months ago and gave up, but I'm starting to love using liner on my top lid with a wing and pencil smudges, liner doesn't last long enough, so GEL is the way to go! I was about to get the 266 brush to go along with it but I wasn't able to part with 19.50 just yet so I decided to venture into the land of brushes and start finding my HG liner brush... but I figure I will eventually invest in a 266. The MA that put this on me used a 210 and I really like what it did but I figure angled brush first before moving on to a fine tip brush.

Photobucket
I've been meaning to share this with you girls for a while. This is my Redkin Satinwear 02. It's a blow-dry lotion for your hair. I was on a search for a heat-protected product for my hair when I first cut my hair a while ago and needed to blow dry it every day in order to keep it decent (short hair is so much more work!) and I noticed a burnt hair smell every time after I blow dry my bangs. One of my friends does hair and I told him my issue and he gave me this! I totally love it. Since my hair started growing out, I rarely blow-dry my hair... I ususally just brush and let it naturally dry, but I've been in a rush recently and needed to be presentable. I never blow dry without this now. I just squeeze a little bit on my finger tip and work it into my hair, espeically on the ends and then just blow dry. It makes me hair smell so good and leaves it with a nice shine and healthy bounce.
Photobucket
I got this at Hot Topic the other day since I had a gift card and it was only 9.99. I've been obsessed with his new single Fireflies for some time now and have neglected to buy his CD. I LOVE THIS CD!! Owl City stays true to his style and there's not much I don't love about this CD. The only thing I don't like about this CD is the track "Hello Seattle" which is one of my favorite songs by Owl City is totally different from the old version and I much prefer the older version of the song. Although the differences between the new version and old version are very subtle... I'm very picky when it comes to my favorite songs. My favorite songs are "The Bird and the Worm" and "Umbrella Beach" to name a few :D

PhotobucketPhotobucket
This is my new Target brand Pre-Brush Mouth Rinse. I've been wanting my teeth a lot whiter but I don't want to invest in Whitening Stripes because of what I've heard about them. I chose the target brand over Listerine mostly because of the price difference. The ingredients are exactly the same and so is the amount. The only difference maybe the formula between the two, but hey for a less bucks I'm willing to give it a go. I do have to admit that I have no been using this religiously like I should be in order to test it out. I get lazy when I brush my teeth haha. But I will start using it again and will do a full review later.

I also had a party last week (which I talked consistently about haha) and to say the least it was an insane amount of fun! Donna & I's jungle juice was insanely good. Nothing says drunken mess like some Everclear.
My awesome Panda cake that Amanda made for me with bamboo cuppy cakes!

The Biffle and I! Poor girl was in pain cause she had just gotten her wisdom teeth pulled.
One of my favorite pictures of this summer. The first ever Crack Pack + Originals picture and everyone got the memo to stick out their tongue and make a face! Its so rare that we're able to take a picture together... much less all making a similar face. Gosh, how drunk were we...HAHA
Big Bro & Me! <33333>
A(natomy) Crew! TK doesn't hug... ever so my friend Kristen and I decided to give him a hug!
After I blew out my candles, I decided to basically hug everyone... and rock my friend's GaGa glasses... Donna's face is priceless.

"There's an Asian Family in Our Bathroom..." Video Heavy

The first thing I HAVE to talk about is "500 Days of Summer." I don't know how many of you girls have seen the trailer for this movie but I totally adore it. I remember seeing it in passing but totally forgot about it till yesterday when Dan took me out to dinner cause I was hungry and mentioned that he was going to kidnap me to see a movie but I told him I was hungry. I told him to kidnap me after dinner and that he did indeed. He wouldn't tell me what movie we were seeing and we played a little guessing game until we finally got to the theater.

But back to the movie. I think this is a MUST see summer movie. Here's the official trailer:

The trailer explains it all. It's a boy meets girl story, but not a typical love story. It's much more realistic (but still has movie magic) than any other love story I've ever seen. It left me with a nice warm and fuzzy feeling though, I'll say that much. It's now officially one of my favorite movies of all time. It's up there with Garden State. The music featured in the movie was AWESOME.

It has Joseph Gordon-Levitt (from 10 Things I Hate About You) and Zoey Deschanel (ELF).
Their chemistry is wonderful to watch and the jokes are amazing. I laughed so much during this movie and didn't want it to be over. Might I add, Joseph Gordon-Levitt has grown into a fine young man??

I saw this video on ICA Images' blog. You should check her out. Her photography is pretty freakin' awesome! But I saw this video and totally fell in love with it.

Instrumental styling + Taylor Swift + Coldplay + me = amazed

So I stalk Perezhilton.com religiously because he has the daily dose of RPattz and is always up to date with Twilight drama and stills! But he featured this clip of the much anticipated TV show Glee, which I've been dying over and can't wait for the Fall season to start so I figure I'd share it with y'all.

The lovely Amy Naree tagged me to do the "6 Things that Make You Happy." So here it is!

1. Friends
My friends are so important in my life. They keep me grounded and provide me with wonderful times and laughs. I value them a whole freakin' lot and they make me really uber happy hahaha.

2. Food
What girl doesn't love FOOD! It makes me full and content... thus HAPPY! I don't care if it's froyo, cupcakes, ramen, or steak... food is awesomness.

3. Singing and Dancing in the car
He's gonna kill me for using this picture...
No matter what mood I'm in I can count on music to either mellow me out or put a smile on my face. But put me in a car with my iPod and it's over! I also like watching my friends jam in their cars cause we get silly.

4. Baking
I love baking. Sometimes I bake when I'm bored, or happy, or stressed. No matter the reason it always cheers me up... probably cause the end product is Food... haha

5. Webcams
Hahaha! He made that face cause I got a snapshot of him before making a silly face at me. I love webcams. Although it's not as good as seeing someone in person, it's good enough for me until I can. It makes missing someone a little bit easier...

6. Cuddling
I'm a cuddler. Guilty.

I tag... EVERYONE. That's right. I want to know what puts a smile on your face!

till next time, lovers

Hi, I am C.Tang and I am UBER Forgetful- Swatches + Reviews + Award

Anyone that knows me, knows that I am extremely forgetful! I totally forgot a LOT of things that I was going to put in my previous post, but I will make it up in this one :)

First, I realized that I never did a swatch of my Revlon lipsticks on my lips! Dumbass hahaha. So here they are for your viewing pleasure!
Here's my natural lip with lip balm for comparison.

Gentlemen Prefer Pink

As I said before, this is my FAVORITE out of the three that I picked up. It gives my lips a noticeable but gentle pearly pink. I've had no problems with this lippie drying out my lips at all and to say the least I'm pretty much in love with it. I can wear it almost everyday with any outfit... other then my gym clothes :)
Pink About It

So, this was the BRIGHT ass pink lipstick that reminded me of a strawberry pink. And now you can see what I mean by this swatch. It has grown on me a bit though, but I did find this one to be very drying after a few hours, which is weird because I never had a problem with my other Revlon Matte lipstick. Overall, I don't hate it but I don't love it. I'll probably be a lippie I keep on hand for a day where I'm feeling very fun and confident.

Pink Pout

Ahhhh. The lipstick that sparked the Revlon haul to begin with! I don't think this picture does this lipstick much justice but I absolutely LOVE this lipstick. It gives me the perfect nude lip without washing out my face completely. I've always had that issue with nude lips where it's so nude that it just makes my face look... off. Maybe I'll be able to show you guys in a picture one day. But this lipstick has very light pinks in it and when paired with Florabundance, I've got a lip that is perfect for summers.

So while I'm on the subjects of lipsticks. Christine and I were discussing a few things she wanted to buy (Revlon lippies) and we talked about how surprisingly nice the quality of this drug store lipstick was and then... It occurred to me.

Ever since I bought my Revlon lipsticks, I have completely neglected my Mac Honeylove. I tried wearing this lipstick out many times since I bought it and every time after a few hours, my lips are as dry as the Sahara Desert, despite putting lip balm under my lipstick. Does anyone else have this issue with Mac lipsticks? I know Mac is like the Holy Grail to many blogger babes and extremely lovable due to all their colors and finishes, but for $14 each and such popular demand, I kind of expected something more promising, even if I have to put lip balm under it. So lovely readers I must ask you, do you have the same issue with Mac lippies drying your lips or am I just imagining things? How was your first Mac lipstick experience? Also, what are your favorite lipsticks brands/colors?

Keep or Return?
Since I'm on a ROLL with this beauty stuff, why stop now?! My Lancome BiFacil has been at it's very last days of life for a while and I wanted to try something other then the BiFacil becuase I'll be the first to admit, I am not made of money and my beauty addiction has taken a toll on my bank account. I've read many reviews that Clinique Take the Day Off is comparable to the Lancome Bifacil. So I went out and bought a travel size of Take the Day Off (1.7 fl oz for $8.50 at Sephora) instead of the full size (4.2 fl oz for $17.50) vs Lancome BiFacil which only comes in the 4.2 fl oz size for $26 . That's a whole $8.50 difference for the same amount of product.

Here are my thoughts on the Lancome Bifacil:
- A little bit goes a long way
- very gentle on eyes (doesn't matter if I'm using toilet paper or cotton balls)
- 1 or 2 swipes gets ALL my make up off, including MUFE liner or MAC waterproof liner

My thoughts on Take the Day Off:
- not as gentle as BiFacil, but no tugging necessary to take off make up
- 2 to 4 swipes to get off all water proof liner
- sometimes I have to go back with a Q-tip and get the remaining liner on my eyes
- I generally have to dip my cotton ball 2x
- The layers never seperate properly again after using... instead it creates a 3rd milky colored layer between.... reminds me of Organic chemistry and inorganic layers and organic layers... hahaha I'm such a geek!

Overall thoughts:
Is Take off the Day as great as BiFacil? : H-e-double hockey sticks NO
Is TOTD a good and cheaper alternative to BiFacil?: Yes. Yes it is.
Would I recommend TOTD to a friend?: Totally! My friends and I were playing with make up one day and we all used it.

Verdict: Keep or Return?
Keep. It's good for what it is and the price doesn't break the bank. Will I be running out to buy the full size when I'm done with the travel size? No. I've read on some blogs that baby oil does the job just as well! We all know that the key in removing make up is oil! Yes, it leave a residue on your face, but I wash my face post-taking off make up anyways! Plus it's hella cheap. It's worth the try. But if baby oil doesn't work out, I'll more then likely return to using BiFacil.

So the lovely Puff gave me the blogger buddie award:
I love the icon that goes for it! It's so cute!! Thank you, Puff for giving me this award! You are too sweet. I love the idea behind it because we are all kinda like buddies on blogger :)

Rules:
Pass this award on to bloggers you feel are friendly (hence blogger "buddie" :D) and interesting posters as well!

I award:
Christine
Becks
Roseilee
Stacy
Puff
Amy Naree
Mai
Lisa

p.s.
"Tony Kim" (12:05:21 PM): I GOT ALL 151 POKEMON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That is the IM I just got...which reminds me that I've been wanting to share something with y'all for a while. There is this website called Sporcle that Dan got me addicted to... and I in turn got Tony addicted to this summer. It's basically a category game. For example: Name the Original 150 Pokemon... (which Tony has done God knows how many times) and you just type your answers (if it's the right answer it'll automatically go in, no need to press enter). The site is updated daily with new categories so I do it when I get REALLY bored. I think I've done a good 75% of them... and 20% I've done twice.

I don't know if I've ever told you guys, but I can see the future... I foreshadow...

That I will be writing a post on my thoughts of the movie 500 Days of Summer, another nail swatch, show you guys a bit of my closet and my shoes, food that I've been meaning to share... and do another tag :D
